dwwt everywhere
Last updated September 29, 2026
Ask Siri, glance at your lock screen, or put the answer on a display. All of these use your Personal API address and follow your spoiler setting: with scores hidden everywhere, a result says it is over and nothing more.
First, your address. Sign in and open Settings, go to Personal API, tap Show my API token, then Copy. It is a private address: anyone holding it can see the teams you follow. Reset token stops everything using the old one.
Ask Siri: "Did we win?"
- Open the Shortcuts app and create a new shortcut.
- Add the action Get Contents of URL and paste your address, with
&format=textadded to the end. - Add the action Speak Text (it speaks the contents from the step before).
- Name the shortcut Did we win. Now say "Hey Siri, did we win".
Siri answers one line per team, for example:
Seahawks: yes, won 24-17 vs Chiefs. Mariners: live, 3-2 vs Astros, Top 7th. Arsenal: not yet. Next vs Leeds United, Sat 7:30 AM.
The same address with &format=text works anywhere that reads text: a Mac menu bar tool, a smart speaker routine, a terminal.
Home screen and lock screen widget
For iPhone and iPad, through Scriptable, a free app that runs small scripts as widgets.
- Install Scriptable from the App Store.
- Open the dwwt widget script, copy all of it, and in Scriptable tap +, paste it and name it dwwt.
- Add a Scriptable widget to your home screen or lock screen. While editing, tap it, choose the script dwwt, and paste your address as the Parameter.
Small shows your top team: the answer (YES, NO, TIED, NOT YET), the score and what is next. Medium and large list your teams, live games first. On the lock screen it is one line per team. Tap a team to open its page.
Pixel displays
- Tronbyt (self-hosted, for Tidbyt displays): a dwwt app is ready and on its way to the Tronbyt catalog.
- Niblet and TickrCast: planned.
The Personal API
GET https://www.didwewintoday.com/api/v1/following, with your token as Authorization: Bearer <token> or as ?token= for tools that cannot set headers. Read only: it can see the teams you follow and nothing else. Answers are cached for 30 seconds, so once a minute is plenty.
tz: your time zone (IANA, such asAmerica/New_York), so kickoff times and "today" are yours.view:following(every team, a result held for 48 hours before the next game takes over) ortoday(only teams playing today).logo, logow: the height and width you will draw crests at; they come back sized and cropped to fit.format=text: plain sentences instead of JSON.
The JSON has teams, one entry per team or driver, with state (pre, in, post, none), verdict (win, loss, draw or null), score (us, them; null until the game starts), status and a shorter statusShort, opponent, home, and team.logo (drawn for a dark background) with team.logoLight. It also has spoilers, your setting (show, lists or hide): with hide, please show that a game is over, not how it ended.
